Strange Tales # 131: "The Hunter and the Hunted!"

Synopsis:
Dr. Strange, hoping to draw attention away from the recovering Ancient One, is still on the run from Baron Mordo in Hong Kong. Mordo recruits more agents and they uncover Strange. However, Strange eludes them and tricks Mordo and gets on a plane headed back to the U.S..

Synopsis:
Strange returns to his Sanctum only to discover that it's been taken over by one of Mordo's agents, the Demon. Strange tricks him and rushes to the all-seeing eye of Agamotto to learn how Mordo got so powerful. Unfortunately, it triggers an alarm that has Mordo travel to Strange's Sanctum and attack. Strange learns that Mordo is being empowered by Dormammu. He's overwhelmed by Mordo's power.

Synopsis:
Strange eluded Mordo's attack by escaping to another dimension. He inadvertently gets involved in a power struggle between two sisters vying for the throne. He learns the truth about the evil sister and destroys her power source to even the battle. Strange uses the fleeting remains of her power source to send him back to Earth.

Synopsis:
Strange returns to Earth and makes his way to the Ancient One's side. There he learns about something called Eternity and he begins a desperate search for its meaning. Meanwhile in the Dark dimension, Clea buys Strange some time as she unleashes the Mindless Ones that keep Dormammu rather busy.

Synopsis:
Strange continues his search for what the Ancient One meant by his reference to Eternity. He seeks out a former disciple of the Ancient One who is willing to help. Unfortunately, it turns out that this former disciple has sided with Mordo and betrays Strange's location. Strange evades Mordo's attack and escapes.

Synopsis:
Strange frantically searches the globe for any hint to the Ancient One's reference to Eternity. He discovers a scroll he suspects will lead him to the secret of Eternity, but it's a trap spell by villainous sorcerer who has trapped innocents for centuries. Strange bests him and frees his captives.

Synopsis:
Strange has no other choice now that to enter the mind of the Ancient One who has fallen into a deep coma. He enters the Ancient One's mind and does battle with his master's mental defenses until he's able to convince him that he's his disciple. Finally, Strange learns the answer to the mystery of Eternity.

Synopsis:
Strange enters the dimension of Eternity and meets with the cosmic entity known as Eternity, who is the embodiment of the known universe. He pleads with Eternity to help him in his struggle against Dormammu and Mordo, but Eternity denies his request since Strange apparently already has the means to defeat his foes. Strange returns to Earth disheartened only to discover that Mordo has captured the Ancient One and the Dormammu has captured Clea.

Synopsis:
Strange confronts Mordo who has captured the Ancient One. Mordo attacks Strange and Strange rallies to defend himself. Strange succeeds in tricking Mordo despite his greater powers. Dormammu frustrated with Mordo, decides to abandon Mordo and summon them all to the Dark dimension.

Synopsis:
In front of all his underlings, Dormammu challenges Dr. Strange to personal combat. Strange accepts and they are both equipped with the deadly weapons known as the pincers of power. They battle until Strange seems to be getting an edge and cowardly Mordo strikes at Strange to defeat him.

Strange Tales # 141: "Let There be Victory!"

Synopsis:
Dormammu is enraged that Mordo interfered in his personal combat with Strange. They resume their battle and Strange defeats Dormammu. Strange commands Dormammu to pledge never to turn his power towards the Earth. Once returned to Earth, Strange receives a defiant message from Dormammu telling him that he still has Clea captured. Meanwhile, the measly remains of Mordo's underlings plant a powerful bomb within Strange's sanctum.
