West Coast Avengers # 1: "Teammates!"

Synopsis:
Hank Pym makes his way out to the West Coast not to join Avengers, but rather to study the captured Goliath. Meanwhile, Iron Man, Wonder Man, and Tigra are attacked by a squad of robots and return to the compound to track down their energy source. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a trap set by Ultron-12. They escape and return to the compound, but not in time to prevent Man-Ape from freeing Goliath. Ultron joins the battle and together they defeat the Avengers and capture Pym and Wonder Man.

West Coast Avengers # 2: "Sons!"

Synopsis:
The West Coast Avengers travel to the East Coast to meet up with the Vision and the Scarlet Witch, and exchange enough information to figure out that the Grim Reaper is behind these recent attacks. The Grim Reaper (Eric Williams) gloats over his captured brother Wonder Man and explains his plan to extract the pure memories of Simon Williams from both the Vision and Wonder Man and transfer it to Black Talon's zombie. Meanwhile, the Avengers meet with Simon Williams' mother and learn that Simon took the fall for his brother Eric's embezzlements. The Grim Reaper sends Ultron off to capture the Vision so that they can begin the memory transfer.

Synopsis:
The Vision and Scarlet Witch part ways with the Avengers after the events of the past two issues. Tigra questions her role as Avengers and finds herself inadequate. She tries to prove herself by going up against Kraven the Hunter on her own, but Hawkeye and Mockingbird have to come to her rescue. However, Kraven was impressed by Tigra's fighting skills and its enough to restore her confidence.

West Coast Avengers # 4: "Master Pandemonium!"

Synopsis:
The Thing shows up on the doorstep of the Avengers' compound and of course Hawkeye tries to recruit him. The Thing bows out respectfully, but returns having rescued Firebird. She explains her origin and her recent battle with Master Pandemonium. Wonder Man makes an appearance on the Tonight Show and clears his name once and for all. Master Pandemonium attacks again, but the Avengers drive him off.

Synopsis:
Hawkeye reprimands Wonder Man for his media appearance believing that it has harmed the public's perception of the West Coast Avengers. Tigra's cat-side kicks it into high gear as she spends some intimate time with both Wonder Man and Hank Pym. Although the Avengers don't know the extent of the influence of Tigra's cat-side, they want to help and seek out the Werewolf by Night who can possibly help them contact the Cat People. After a battle with the Werewolf by Night, Dr. Michael Morbius says he can contact the Cat People.

West Coast Avengers # 6: "Quest for Cats!"

Synopsis:
With the help of Dr. Michael Morbius, the Avengers contact the Cat People and make their way over into their world. The King of the Cat People agrees to help Tigra rid herself of her cat-side in exchange for the death of Master Pandemonium. Tigra agrees, but lies to her teammates telling them that they will help no stings attached. Meanwhile, Wonder Man is getting started on his latest movie project and Hank Pym is approached by a friendly and passive version of Ultron.

April 1986
West Coast Avengers # 7: "U, Robot!"

Synopsis:
The Avengers enjoy the hospitality of the Cat People, while back on Earth, Hank Pym is approached by Ultron-12 who claims to have changed and wants to make up for the years they should have enjoyed as father and son. Unfortunately, Ultron-11, who finally managed to pull himself together after the Secret Wars, attacks Ultron-12. Ultron-12 is destroyed, but is able to alert Wonder Man who rescues Pym and destroys Ultron-11.

Firebird, who has been unable to convince the Avengers that she should be considered as a possible member calls upon her old teammates the Rangers. Unfortunately, someone has possessed them and it turns into a big fight. The Avengers defeat the Rangers and discover that Shooting Star is actually a demon sent by Master Pandemonium.

Synopsis:
Mockingbird, disguised as Shooting Star, is used as bait to get the Avengers close enough to Master Pandemonium. The Avengers, with a little help from the Cat People, invade Master Pandemonium's hideout. Pandemonium escapes before Tigra can get her hands on him. And finally, the Thing accepts Hawkeye's offer to join the Avengers.

Synopsis:
The Thing is a no-show for the press conference that would have announced him as the newest Avenger. An all-out search for the Thing begins. Unfortunately, Headlok and the Griffin are eager to take advantage of the Avengers to settle old scores. The Avengers come out on top with a bit of help from the Thing, who thanks the team for their friendship and parts ways with them.
